Taking the first step is hard. Barriers such as language, lack of knowledge of available support systems, and the stigma associated with treatment create often insurmountable challenges for children and families in need. Family Continuity addresses these realities by going where the need is. Working with our community partners, we have clinicians in a variety of community settings ready to support individuals. These placements are tailored to the needs of each organization or setting and aim to increase access to care by giving people both simple, constructive resources as well as more intense therapy when needed. Whether it is providing groups to YWCA members or clinicians working with homeless families through Citizens for Adequate Housing, individuals and families are more readily able to access the help they need and work toward long term mental wellness. We currently provide tailored services to the following community partners:
- Lawrence YWCA
- Citizens for Adequate Housing
