Position Summary
Family Continuity is seeking an In-Home Therapist to provide home-based family services, including crisis intervention, counseling, skill building, concrete services, and advocacy. You will assist families in developing and maintaining natural supports for the youth and caregiver(s) in order to promote sustainability for treatment gains. You will utilize enhanced problem-solving, limit-setting, risk management/safety planning, and communication to build skills to strengthen the family, advance therapeutic goals, or improve ineffective patterns of interaction, and collaborate with family members and referents in developing intervention goals and service plans.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in human services or related field; or an undergraduate degree in human services or related field and at least two years’ experience working with families required.
- Family Continuity considers lived experience (personal or familial) with the mental health system a valuable asset.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation to and from many meetings, sites and appointments. Must be able to travel within a community. Must have access to personal cell phone. Must become First Aid/ CPR certified if not currently certified.
